For Sale: own the source code exclusively

OWN THE AEROSYSTEM SOURCE CODE

Aerosoft Australia is no longer developing the aeroSystems software and it would be a shame to see the development stop here.

So, the entire source code is for sale. This is an exclusive sale which means you will be the only one in the market that owns the source code. Aerosoft Australia will no longer sell the code or the compiled product to anyone, and will no longer take sales from future customers. The source code will be yours and yours only to do with what you wish. Perhaps enhance it and continue to sell it to customers. Perhaps develop an in-house solution for training. Perhaps use it as base code for Airbus aircraft.

FOR SALE: US$45,000

Aerosoft Australia has put years of development into this software. Our customers all around the world range from home users to companies running flight simulator joy rides in a commercial environment. Their hardware and our software are enabling them to run their business. If you are already familiar with the product you’ll note that it is virtually bug free. In fact, there have been almost no bugs found in the software at all.

PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE

aeroSystems has been developed entirely in Borland Delphi using their version 6 compiler. That’s Pascal, not C. What an amazingly easy environment to use to build quality commercial software. It’s easy to read, easy to understand, with none of the complications of the C programming language. It’s also coded as procedures and functions only, not objects. Why? Because we think that this straight forward approach is a lot easier to maintain and simple for other programmers to understand.

aeroSystems runs on openGL graphics platforms, not direct X, so it’s very, very easy to understand and simple to code. In fact, it could almost be crossed compiled with other operating systems in mind. Perhaps Unix or MacOS, which is Unix anyway. The best part is that all of the set up for openGL and screen drawing has been done for you. Drawing letters and numbers on screen from vector based fonts is as simple as a procedure call. Aircraft instruments are broken into separate files and are easy to understand with verbose procedure and function calls. So, all of the code base is there ready to go.
